US Embassy Visit
US Embassy Visit
Event: US Embassy
Date: Thursday 21 January 2016
Venue: Madani Schools Federation
Attendees: Delegation from the US Embassy - London
Pupils had an opportunity to discuss a range of themes such as foreign policy, gun control, Obama’s Presidency and other issues.
Student Experience:
The visit by the US Embassy delegates to Madani Schools Federation was a visit unlike any other. Not only was I able to speak freely about my standpoint on current affairs, but I was able to question other people’s views including the delegates themselves. The discussion has encouraged me to broaden my horizon and to never be afraid of voicing my opinion. On the whole, it was an enjoyable and fruitful experience for myself and for many other students who have never had the opportunity to engage in discussions like this one.
